"A home designed and built by hand, raised by a man who arrived in Houston with nothing but resolve — and filled for generations with the sound of music, faith, and family." — Price Family Legacy
Who We Are
The William and Phyllis Price Foundation was established to honor the memory and values of William T. Price and Phyllis Palmer Price — two pillars of Houston's Sessums Tract community whose lives were defined by hard work, deep faith, and devotion to family.
William Price arrived in Houston with little more than determination. He designed and built the family home at 1611 Bass Street with his own hands, creating a sanctuary that would become the heart of a community. Phyllis Palmer Price filled that home with music, grace, and a spirit of generosity that touched everyone who entered.
The Foundation carries their legacy forward through charitable giving, community investment, and the preservation of family history — ensuring that the values William and Phyllis lived are never forgotten.
The Foundation's mission is to support education, community development, and cultural preservation in Houston and beyond — with a particular commitment to the neighborhoods and institutions that shaped the Price family story.
